About MOL SafePay

Introduction

MOL SafePay is a secured ‘escrow’ based payment solution developed by MOL AccessPortal Berhad for MOL Members. This system enables buyers and sellers in Malaysia to securely transmit funds between two parties. For example, you can buy merchandise from an individual seller on eBay, and make payment through MOL SafePay.

MOL SafePay manages every aspect of the settlement process and will temporarily hold payment for the merchandise from the buyer until the merchandise is delivered. Once the merchandise is delivered, MOL SafePay will pay the seller by crediting his/her MOL Freedom card. Sellers using MOL SafePay are protected from credit card and payment fraud.

MOL SafePay Features, Functions and Benefits

Initiate MOL SafePay
The buyer or the seller may initiate a MOL SafePay transaction by logging in to MOL SafePay with their MOL Member account. If you do not have an existing MOL Member account please click here to register.
Buyer and Seller Agree to Transaction Terms
After the transaction is created, MOL SafePay will contact the other party to review the terms of transaction. The transaction will proceed once both parties agreed to the terms.
Buyer Pays MOL SafePay
The buyer must make payment to MOL SafePay either through MOL Freedom, Maybank2U.com or cheque. The payment includes RM2 or 2% of the total purchase price inclusive of shipping, whichever is higher, if the MOL SafePay fee is borne by the buyer.
Seller Ships Merchandise
After MOL SafePay confirms the good’s fund from the buyer, MOL SafePay will instruct the seller to ship the merchandise.
Buyer Accepts the Merchandise
Once the buyer receives the merchandise, they will then approve the payment by notifying MOL SafePay.
MOL SafePay Pays the Seller
MOL SafePay will pay the seller immediately by crediting their MOL Freedom card once the buyer approves the payment. If the MOL SafePay fee is borne by the seller, RM2 or 2% of the total purchased price inclusive of shipping, whichever is higher will be deducted from the amount credited to the seller.
